In the inaugural season of Unrivaled, Rose BC emerged as champions after a hard-fought victory over Vinyl BC. Brittney Sykes sealed the win with a clutch and-1 free throw, securing the target score of 62 and closing out the women's 3-on-3 basketball league’s debut season in dramatic fashion.
Sykes led Rose BC with 21 points, five rebounds, and two assists, but it was Chelsea Gray who shined the brightest in the playoffs. Gray earned Playoff MVP honors after an 18-point, eight-assist performance in the final, following a spectacular 39-point outing that propelled Rose BC to the championship game.
Rose BC claimed the title despite missing key players, including 2025 Unrivaled Defensive Player of the Year Angel Reese, as well as Kahleah Copper and Natisha Hiedeman. Stepping up in their absence, Azurá Stevens delivered a near 20-20 performance, finishing with 19 points and 18 rebounds.
Vinyl BC put up a valiant fight, especially after taking down the top-seeded Lunar Owls in the semifinals. Rhyne Howard led the charge with a game-high 22 points, but Vinyl struggled offensively, shooting just 35% from the field compared to Rose BC’s 46%.
The first season of Unrivaled set the stage for an exciting future, showcasing some of the best talent from the WNBA in a fierce 3-on-3 format. With the season now in the books, these stars shift their focus to the upcoming WNBA campaign, set to tip off in May.
